The 35th annual meeting of the Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation
will be held from August 10 - August 13, 2003. However, this form is
to be used after July 1, 2003 to register only for the events
listed below. This form does not address full meeting registration or
hotel guestroom reservations. Please use one form for each person registering.
Late fees are included.

Dr. Robert Peck from the Academy of Natural Sciences will give a presentation
titled Jeffersons Philadelphia: Setting the Stage for Lewis
and Clark. In his keynote address, naturalist, historian, and Philadelphia
native Robert Peck will discuss how the Lewis and Clark expedition was
shaped by Lewis Philadelphia experiences, and explain the critically
important role the city and its institutions played in disseminating,
and preserving, information about the findings of the expedition. The
Germantown Colonial Dancers with John Burkhalter and Eugene Roan will
entertain after Dr. Pecks presentation.

Dayton Duncan, writer and filmmaker will give a presentation titled
Reflections on Meriwether Lewis: A Country Boy in the Big City.
Dayton Duncan's perceptive insights on Meriwether Lewis and the time
Lewis spent in Philadelphia will be the subject of the Closing Keynote
Address of the 35th Annual Meeting of the Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage
Foundation. Mr. Duncan will also reflect on his own personal journey
from a small town in Iowa to attend the University of Pennsylvania in
Philadelphia, which mirrored Lewis' journey to the city 164 years earlier
to receive essential scientific training from the Mentors of Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Youth Sinfonia Orchestra will perform winning composition
of the locally sponsored Composers Competition
