Volunteers from the Philadelphia Chapter met many interested
people who were attending a joint meeting of the National
Council for Geographic Education and the Pennsylvania Geographic
Society at the Doubletree hotel in Center City Philadelphia
on Thursday, October 17, and Friday, October 18, when Charles
Sacavage arranged for the Chapter to have a display table.
It was an opportunity for conference attenders from all over
the country to become better acquainted with Philadelphias
connection to the Lewis and Clark expedition and the Chapters
role in the Bicentennial commemoration.
Volunteers included Elaine and Dick Prestholdt, Marion Rowen,
Norma Milner, Pi DiPiazza, Frank and Rose Muhly, Anne Mackintosh,
Jim Shaw, and Trudy Reed.
