Program Schedule
| 11:00 am to Noon | Slide Lecture by Joel T. Fry, Curator of Historic Collections, Historic Bartram’s Garden “Flowers on the Frontier: The Bartram Family – Plant Collectors and Naturalists in 18th Century North America” |
| Noon to 1:00 pm | Gourmet Sandwich Picnic Box lunch Choice of : Smoked Turkey Breast or Baked Ham or Imported Cheeses and Fresh Vegetables |
| 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm | “Painting Nature” – An interactive lesson presented by the education staff in which you will examine a flower closely and create a botanical watercolor, learn about William Bartram, a famous botanical illustrator, and see some of his inspirational work. |
| 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm | Guided Tours – See the 18th century National Historic Landmark house crafted by John Bartram and America’s oldest living botanic garden which nurtures the oldest Gingko tree in North America and visit the Museum Shop. |
