Donation Book, containing a list of dried plants collected in the far West by M. Lewis and presented to the American Philosophical Society; also, list of minerals and fossils.

Titian R. Peale's Sketch Book. This includes drawings as follows: (a) Lewis's woodpecker by Charles Willson Pea]e; (b) mountain quail by Peale; (c) "fisher" by Peale; and (d) horned toad by Peale or Pietro Ancora.

The American Philosophical Society is, of course, the repository for many other items, for example, Jefferson's instructions to Andre Michaux, and St. Memin's crayon sketch of the Mandan chief, Big White.
